Just uploaded all the files to the download section. You can download the OpenTTD strategy game and play it. Just unzip and run openttd.exe. Also the files needed to run the game is uploaded in a own zip-file. My first zip-files with scanrios and heightmaps are added.

I’m uploading a list over the current heightmaps and scenarios I have made in OpenTTD. I need to go trough them and check them before I can share them.

I am currently testing through my own scenarios and heightmaps. And I will upload them with the game itself so you can download the whole thing. Just unzip the file, doubleclick or make a shortcut to the openttd.exe and play.

OpenTTD scenario “Compass Cities v2″ (256×256)

This is a OpenTTD scenario I developed further from the first “Compass Cities” scenario. It has a lots of iron ore mines and forrests. Some farms and factories are there too. And a lot of oilwells.

Climate is temperate.
Scenario size is 256×256 squares.

OpenTTD scenario “Iceland One” (1024×1024)

I just made this OpenTTD scenario today.
The terrain is in shape of Iceland.

Climate is artic.
Scenario size is 1024×1024 squares.

I use a map like this below from Google to spread out the cities and name them. And I threw some industry out also on to the terrain in the scenario.

Below is the heightmap I used. Remember to turn the scenario 45 degrees clockwise to get it right then you generate the scenario of the heightmap.

It was made from this picture below.

This is a OpenTTD heightmap I made with MS Paint that comes standard with Windows. I made this using the mouse to draw with, it would maybe be better with a penlike device to draw with. See the how to on the right on how to make a scenario of a heightmap.

Hills: # FFFFFF (Standard white)
Riverbank: #303030
River: #000000 (Standard black)

OpenTTD scenario “Mega City Industries” (512×512)

This is a OpenTTD scenario I made last year. It has lots of industry of all types and they are placed logical together in lines. Should ease the building of roads and railways. Have fun playing it.

Climate is temperate.

OpenTTD scenario “9×4 Cities” (256×256)

This OpenTTD scenario consists of 6 files in various development stages as seen on the screenshots below. This is a empty OpenTTD scenario that I have “measured up” and marked the exact center in and I have continued to built on. You can continue using and building your own OpenTTD scenario from these files. Note the lighthouses on the egdes, they serve as markers from that “measure up”.Â They are placed 10 squares apart. The road marks the center in the OpenTTD scenario.

The 4 empty spaces in each city are set aside to airports.

Climate is temperate.
Scenario size is 256×256 squares.
